Astitva Samaj Vikas va Sanshodhan Sanstha Sangola is a registered non-profit, non-political and secular non-governmental organization operational since 2001 in the drought-prone districts of Solapur and Sangli in western Maharashtra.
Founded by local youth from small and marginal farming communities who witnessed the hardships caused by recurrent droughts, Astitva was born from a commitment to help people overcome such conditions and build sustainable livelihoods at their doorstep.

Astitva has programs in over 115 villages across:
Sangola, Mangalvedha, and Pandharpur blocks
Jat, Kavthe Mahankal, and Aatpadi blocks
These areas fall under the semi-arid zone of India, popularly known as the drought-prone Maan valley - a sub-valley of the River Krishna Basin.
